Bethlehem Township is a small rural community in northwestern New Jersey.  Bethlehem Township, which means "House of Bread," was settled in the 1720s by German, Dutch, English, and Irish immigrants.  The Township's municipal government dates back to 1730.  The Township Committee has been representing the Township's citizens since its creation in 1763.  Today, Bethlehem Township is 21.38 square miles and has a population of 3,993 people.
